SEARC is a diverse group of amateur radio operators (Hams) that are interested in learning, collaborating and promoting the hobby, sport and service of amateur radio in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota metropolitan area and southeast South Dakota. SEARC is an ARRL affiliated club.

Armed Forces Day Crossband Test — May 9, 2026![]()

Today the US Naval Academy Amateur Radio Club (W3ADO) activated the historic NSS callsign for Armed Forces Day — transmitting from the grounds of the former US Navy radio transmitting facility in Annapolis, MD. This annual DoD crossband test has been running for over 50 years. Military stations transmit on military frequencies while monitoring amateur HF bands.
