Welcome to the Sioux Empire Amateur Radio Club (SEARC) website.  SEARC is a diverse group of amateur radio operators (Hams) that are interested in learning, collaborating and promoting the hobby, sport and service of amateur radio in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota metropolitan area and southeast South Dakota.  SEARC is an ARRL affiliated club.

We will be participating in a North American wide emergency preparedness exercise called Field Day this Saturday and Sunday, June 28 & 29, at the Minnehaha County Emergency Management building at 608 N Sigler Ave in Sioux Falls, SD. Ham radio operators everywhere hone their skills off-grid communications. Visitors are welcome to visit and see how well ham radio can work when all other means of communication have failed. Tonight a team of volunteers completed work on the SDLink Sioux Falls UHF repeater, part of the statewide SD Link system.
